The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Additional Time, ridden by A. Harvey, placed first and Heron's Butler, ridden by L.A. McKenna, placed second, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. A. Harvey stated that his mount was lairy but that he attempted to maintain his line. L.A. McKenna stated that he received interference and intimidation from the second last to the line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that Additional Time had caused interference to Heron's Butler and as a result of this interference had improved its finishing position. As a consequence, the Raceday Stewards reversed the placings of the first and second horses and amended the result to read as follows:

First: Heron's Butler
Second: Additional Time
Third: Tsavo Park
Fourth: Cuguilla
Fifth: Gallant Getaway

Furthermore, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider.

P. Hanlon, rider of Tsavo Park, trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left up the straight.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident turning into the home straight on the final circuit involving Mother Ship, ridden by P. Hanlon, unplaced, Cathys Quest, ridden by J.P. Shinnick, unplaced, Hob's Angel, ridden by J.C. Gainford, placed fourth and Glorious Singer, ridden by C.M. Hogan, unplaced, where it appeared Hob's Angel had to take a check. P. Hanlon stated that things became tight on the bend. J.P. Shinnick stated that he felt he had a clean run and maintained his line. J.C. Gainford stated that he had to take a check when things became tight. C. M. Hogan stated that his mount was back peddling coming into the home straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
